Job summary

Emler Swim School is seeking a Deck Manager / Team Manager to lead on deck and in the pool, guiding hourly staff and coaching instructors. This role focuses on safe, high‑quality lessons and creating a welcoming environment for kids and families.

You will help manage scheduling, performance reviews, and enrollment goals while upholding a safety‑first mindset and mentoring teammates to grow with the school culture.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a passion for working with children.
• Positive energy, strong communication, and natural leadership.
• Loves helping others grow—supportive to teammates and students.
• Consistent schedule including weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends.
• Physically active and able to be on your feet, in the water, and moving with purpose.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on deck and in the pool, supervising and training hourly staff.
• Coach instructors and serve as a lead instructor for high‑quality lessons.
• Celebrate student wins and monitor progress across ages in the pool.
• Support families to ensure each customer feels confident and cared for.
• Stay organized with scheduling, evaluations, and enrollment goals.
• Upload safety standards and model a safety‑first mindset for all staff.
