Emler Swim & Gym is seeking a Deck Manager/Team Manager to lead on deck and in the pool, supervising hourly staff and coaching instructors while ensuring safe, high-quality swim lessons.

The role emphasizes leadership, customer service, and operations, with opportunities to grow skills in coaching, scheduling, and performance evaluation. Evening and weekend shifts are required, with potential for more hours as you grow.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a passion for working with children
• Positive energy, strong communication, and a natural leadership style
• Enjoy helping others grow, including guiding new teammates
• Able to work a consistent schedule including weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
• Physically active and able to be on your feet, in the water, and moving with purpose

Responsibilities

• Lead the team on deck and in the pool—supervise, support, and train hourly staff
• Coach instructors and serve as a lead instructor for safe, engaging lessons
• Celebrate student wins and observe progress in the pool
• Support families to ensure customers feel confident and cared for
• Stay organized with scheduling, performance evaluations, and enrollment goals
• Upload safety standards and enforce a safety-first mindset
