RTX is seeking a Sustainment Automation Systems Engineer for its Industry 4.0 CFIA team in Tucson, AZ. You will sustain, develop, and implement automation solutions in manufacturing, integrating PLCs, robotics, vision systems, and related hardware with Ignition-based software and business systems.

The role requires leading technical work, trouble-shooting across 30+ robotic systems, and supporting TPM and production sustainment, with travel up to 25%. Active interim DoD clearance and U.S.

Competenze

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) with 8+ years of relevant experience, or 5+ years with an advanced STEM degree.
• Ability to obtain Interim Secret U.S. government security clearance prior to start date.
• Experience integrating control systems including actuators, sensors, controls, robotics, and vision systems.
• Experience programming PLCs and HMIs (Rockwell preferred) and robots (Fanuc preferred).
• History managing and executing medium to complex automation projects.

Mansioni

• Provide troubleshooting and debugging support for 30+ robotic systems in the factory.
• Provide technical leadership through issue resolution.
• Integrate software and hardware to create or upgrade automation solutions.
• Coordinate TPM, spares management, and production sustainment with factory leadership.
• Support production prove-in of new automation equipment.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
