Carrier is seeking a Sustaining Lead Design Engineer in Charlotte, NC to lead design execution for sustaining programs and support NPD initiatives. The role is hands-on, onsite, focusing on robust, manufacturable solutions and PLM system activities.

Responsibilities include owning CAD integrity, coordinating ECNs, mentoring Creo/Windchill users, and working with global teams to ensure quality and timely releases.

Formación

• 5+ years product design experience in an engineering environment.
• 3+ years Windchill and PLM workflows experience.
• 3+ years Creo Parametric: 3D modeling, drawing creation, engineering documentation.
• 3+ years experience supporting engineering release activities and ECN execution.
• 3+ years coordinating design activities across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• 1+ years providing technical mentorship for Creo and Windchill.
• Willing to travel up to 5% of the year (US & Mexico).
• Ability to work with global teams and onsite resources.

Responsabilidades

• Lead design execution for Sustaining Engineering programs and NPD initiatives.
• Own technical integrity of CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and configurations.
• Coordinate ECNs: scope definition, due diligence, and release sequencing.
• Resolve design issues with cross-functional teams including Manufacturing, Quality, and Supply Chain.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction to designers, onsite and offshore.
• Ensure designs meet engineering standards and PLM processes.
• Lead design reviews and cross-functional technical discussions.
• Track progress and communicate status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
• Mentor Creo and Windchill users and support PLM operations.
