Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Lead Designer in Charlotte, NC, onsite, to translate design directions into manufacturable product designs. You will advance NPD and sustaining efforts through advanced CAD modeling, layout development, and technical reviews.

Responsibilities include mentoring designers, leading complex packaging evaluations, and ensuring design intent across engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain. Travel up to 10% and a day shift are expected.

Qualifications

High school diploma/GED with 5+ years of product design in engineering environment or Associate’s with 3+ years.
2+ years Creo Parametric experience in complex modeling, assemblies, and drawing development.
2+ years creating and maintaining large assembly structures and engineering documentation using Creo.
2+ years reviewing 3D models, drawings, BOMs, and design implementations for accuracy.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine CAD models, layouts, assemblies, and detailed design implementations.
Translate requirements and Lead direction into practical design solutions.
Lead complex packaging, integration, fit-up, and manufacturability evaluations.
Review models, drawings, BOMs, and documentation for quality and accuracy.
Validate work and ensure alignment with design intent across teams.
Support design reviews and release readiness activities.
