Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation seeks a Sustaining Lead Design Engineer in Charlotte, NC to lead design execution for Sustaining Engineering programs and lifecycle activities across existing platforms. You will own CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and configurations, while guiding onsite and offshore designers to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions.

The role emphasizes CAM/ECN orchestration, PLM processes, and coordination with cross-functional teams to support NPD and maintenance activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of Creo Parametric experience with proficiency in 3D modeling, assembly management, drawing creation, and engineering documentation.
• 5+ years of product design experience in an engineering environment.
• 3+ years of Windchill PLM workflows, engineering release processes, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design execution for Sustaining Engineering programs and related NPD initiatives.
• Own technical integrity of CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and configurations.
• Coordinate and drive ECNs, including scope definition and release sequencing.
• Provide day-to-day technical direction to onsite and offshore designers, ensuring quality.
