Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Survey Supervision: Oversee field measurements and electronic data downloads for survey activities
• Equipment Operation: Guide staff in using both manual and electronic surveying instruments and related tools
• Work Planning: Prepare daily and weekly work plans to support efficient field operations
• Record Review: Examine field records for accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting for design systems
• Safety Monitoring: Ensure work zones follow safety rules and protect employees, equipment, and the public
• Staff Development: Provide training, coaching, and evaluation of survey team members

One year of experience as a Survey Technician

Four years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments

Two years of experience as a member of a survey corps which included duties operating both standard and electronic surveying instruments, and an associate's degree in surveying, drafting, design, civil or any other appropriate field of engineering technology
