Astra Surveying is seeking a dynamic Project Survey Manager to lead the survey department in Jacksonville or Tampa and surrounding areas. The role involves managing staff, coordinating field crews, and directing ALTA, boundary, and topographic surveys to ensure quality and accuracy.

You will oversee project scope and budgets, liaise with clients and agencies, and contribute to business development for the survey team. Strong leadership and technical surveying skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Experience in right-of-way mapping and related surveys.
• Ability to interpret plans and establish field crew setup for construction activities.
• Experience with ALTA/ACSM surveys, platting, and topographic mapping.
• Ability to calculate property boundaries and easements from records.

Responsibilities

• Manage, lead, and support survey and CAD department staff.
• Schedule survey crews and coordinate job progress.
• Coordinate with clients, reviewing agencies, and contractors for multiple projects.
• Draft survey data or review drawings produced by others.
• Oversee land surveys with emphasis on quality and methodology.
• Prepare estimates for ALTA surveys, platting, topographic surveys, and staking.
