MORRIS & RITCHIE ASSOCIATES, INC. is seeking a Survey Field Technician / Helper for our Georgetown, DE office. You will assist the Survey Crew Chief with boundary, topographic, and construction surveys, requiring physical effort and outdoor work.

Responsibilities include drafting maps, researching plans, and delivering field data. A valid driver’s license and HS diploma are required; construction plan knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Ability to carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work outdoors for extended periods.
• Understanding of construction plans preferred but not required.
• Basic mathematical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide survey efforts, providing solutions for complex tasks and supporting less experienced staff.
• Draft and prepare survey maps, as-built drawings, surface models, and lot grading plans.
• Research independently and ensure compliance with company CADD standards.
• Prepare boundary, subdivision, and easement plats.
• Process topographic and location surveys.
• Assist with cut sheets, grade sheets, and surface models.
• Organize and create survey exhibits.
• Prepare and deliver survey data for field crews.
