Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Pecos, TX is seeking an experienced Surveying Engineer to coordinate and update survey strategy, and provide technical field support to the construction team. You will perform field engineering surveys using 3D models and drawings and ensure accuracy across multiple disciplines.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in surveying or related field and 5–12 years of experience, with strong communication and team collaboration, and familiarity with Robotic Total Stations,

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
• Prior Industrial, Commercial and/or Heavy Civil Construction Survey experience.
• Prior Bechtel Surveying Experience.
• Knowledge of Construction Surveying Principles.
• Two or more years of Survey CAD drafting experience.

Responsibilities

• Leads in a broad range of construction work within the surveying discipline.
• Directs surveying activities of the assigned construction survey staff, ensuring compliance with procedures.
• Provide Technical Survey support to Field Engineering and Supervision Teams as appropriate.
• Oversees survey calculations and survey reports for all project disciplines/scope.
• Prepare as-built reports for bolts, embeds, and other miscellaneous items.
