Job summary

Michael Page leads a premier search for a Lead Superintendent to oversee the field execution of large-scale ground-up residential projects in the Columbus market. You will own on-site activities, mentor teams, and drive safety, quality, and schedule adherence from groundbreaking to turnover.

The successful candidate will bring 7+ years in construction, strong leadership for multifamily or large residential roles, and proven ability to coordinate multiple trades while managing budgets.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of construction experience including superintendent roles.
  • Experience leading ground-up multifamily, mixed-use, or large residential projects.
  • Strong sequencing, scheduling, and field management skills.
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades and large project teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership with track record of project delivery.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures, quality standards, and best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA certification and a safety leadership mindset.
  • Background in Construction Management or Engineering education.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through turnover.
  • Manage Assistant Superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Develop and drive project schedules to ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate trades to maximize efficiency, productivity, and quality.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Conduct regular jobsite meetings and communicate progress with stakeholders.
  • Implement quality control standards across construction activities.
  • Oversee site logistics, sequencing, manpower scheduling, and procurement.
  • Identify and resolve challenges before impacting schedule or budget.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Owners, Consultants, and Design Teams.
  • Manage inspections, punch lists, occupancy certificates, and closeout.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all on-site construction activities from groundbreaking through project turnover.
  • Manage Assistant Superintendents, field staff, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget expectations.
  • Conduct regular jobsite meetings and communicate progress with project stakeholders.
  • Implement and enforce quality control standards throughout construction.
  • Oversee site logistics, sequencing plans, manpower scheduling, and material procurement.
  • Identify and proactively resolve project challenges before they impact schedule or budget.
  • Partner closely with Project Managers, Owners, Consultants, and Design Teams.
  • Manage inspections, punch lists, certificates of occupancy, and project closeout activities.
  • Foster a positive jobsite culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and safety.
Profile
The Successful Candidate:
  • 7+ years of construction experience with at least several years in a Superintendent or Senior Superintendent capacity.
  • Proven experience leading ground-up multifamily, mixed‑use, commercial, or large residential projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, and field management.
  • Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing large project teams.
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of successfully delivering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures, quality standards, and construction best practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Self‑starter who thrives in fast‑paced construction environments.
  • Ground‑up multifamily construction experience.
  • Experience managing projects valued at $20M+.
  • OSHA certification and strong commitment to safety leadership.
  • Construction Management, Engineering, or related educational background.
