Job summary

Surveying And Mapping, LLC (SAM) is a nationwide leader in geospatial and construction-phase solutions. The team delivers land surveying, aerial mapping, SUE, UC, GIS, BIM, and CEI services with advanced technology and data-driven workflows.

Designated as a lead SUE crew supervisor, you will travel to site locations, perform 2D/3D mapping, ensure safety certifications, and coordinate with clients and utility owners to advance projects on time and with quality.

Qualifications

High School Diploma.
Valid driver's license and ability to meet MVR standards.
Ability to travel for extended periods.
Thorough understanding of ASCE 38 guidelines and quality levels.
(4-5) years of SUE field experience preferred.
Experience leading SUE QL-A & QL-B field crews.
Experience as a project-level field supervisor on SUE QL-A & QL-B projects preferred.
Survey experience preferred.
Military experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Designating all utilities in rural and urban environments using geophysical equipment and mapping.
Obtain and maintain all required safety certifications.
Manage 2D QL-B and 3D QL-B mapping projects with small crews.
Apply non-standard surface geophysical equipment for complex utility mapping.
Collect data for vault diagram forms for 3DB mapping projects.
Lead crews employing vacuum excavators for test holes.
Use total station and RTK GPR to collect horizontal/vertical data.
Coordinate with clients, utility owners, and property owners in the field.
