Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a Senior Substation SCADA & Communication Engineer to lead design, implementation, and integration of advanced communication systems for substation automation, SCADA, and telemetry across transmission and distribution networks. You will guide projects for utilities and renewable energy clients nationwide, with focus on secure, compliant control infrastructure.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related ABET-accredited field.
8+ years of experience in power system automation, SCADA integration, and substation communication system design.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of substation SCADA systems (RTUs, HMIs, PLCs, data concentrators, I/O devices, switches).
Develop network architectures and topologies for transmission substations and control centers.
Engineer communication systems using Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850, Ethernet/IP, and other standards.
Configure RTUs/IEDs/HMIs and perform field commissioning and testing.
Ensure NERC/FERC/LGIA compliance and apply cybersecurity best practices.
