Ladders is seeking a Lead Substation Physical Engineer to join a leader in Technical Services. The role directs physical substation design across complex projects, ensuring safe, reliable power infrastructure and compliance. You will perform field support, QA/QC, and design reviews from concept to completion.

Remote-US based candidates only; travel as needed. Compensation ranges from $107,900 to $195,050 annually, with opportunities for PE license support and professional development.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of substation physical design experience.
• Experience with grounding studies and lightning protection analysis.
• Strong communication and deadline-driven.

For our client, we are seeking a Lead Substation Physical Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space.
This role will lead physical substation design efforts across technically complex projects, helping ensure safe, reliable, and compliant power infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with internal engineering teams and client stakeholders to align design expectations and deliver high-quality project outcomes. The position also includes hands‑on technical review, field support, and QA/QC responsibilities that support execution from concept through completion.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $107,900 – $195,050 annually
