Job summary

Pike Engineering is seeking an experienced Substation Engineer to provide leadership in the design and execution of substation projects, including transmission and battery energy storage systems. You will supervise a design team, drive schedule and cost control, and support proposal development and business growth.

You will mentor staff, liaise with clients, and ensure designs meet industry standards. A PE license and ABET-accredited degree are required, with at least eight years’ relevant

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience in substations and related projects.
• Bachelor’s degree from an ABET/EAC accredited program (or equivalent).
• Licensed Professional Engineer credential required.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline work for substation projects and provide expert design direction.
• Develop scopes, estimates, budgets, and schedules for substation projects.
• Prepare written specifications and integrate them into drawings and designs.
• Oversee junior staff, mentor designers and drafters, ensure design quality.
