Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Manager Subcontracts 2 for the Sentinel program in Roy, UT. This full-time role leads a team of subcontract professionals, develops SOWs and terms, and manages bids, awards, and closeout with internal and external stakeholders.

The position requires a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of related experience (or a Master’s with 6 years) and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience; Master's Degree and 6 years' experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance
• Demonstrated experience preparing bid/RFP packages, conducting bidders’ conferences, analyzing and evaluating supplier proposals, and making supplier recommendations
• Direct experience serving as the primary subcontract manager or key interface for a major subcontractor
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (engineering, facilities, finance, contracts, legal) to develop requirements and resolve subcontract issues

Responsibilities

• Manage a defined segment of a program or functional area within Subcontracts; supervise a team of subcontracts professionals.
• Lead development of subcontract specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions for specialized materials, equipment, software, and/or services.
• Prepare bid/RFP packages, conduct bidders’ conferences, evaluate proposals, and negotiate subcontract provisions.
• Issue awards and administer subcontracts through completion, including additions, deletions, and modifications.
• Collaborate with contracts administration, supply chain, engineering, flight test, manufacturing, and program management to implement subcontract guidelines.
• Ensure subcontracts and work packages are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Communicate status, risks, and mitigation plans to senior leadership and external partners.
