Job summary

Northrop Grumman, located in Roy, UT, is seeking a Manager Subcontracts 2 to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. The role focuses on leading subcontracting activities, developing SOWs, and negotiating with suppliers while coordinating across engineering, contracts, and program management.

The position requires a DoD Secret clearance, a Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of related experience (or Master’s with 6 years), and a proven record in managing major subcontracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of related experience; Master's Degree and 6 years' experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance.
• Demonstrated experience preparing bid/RFP packages, conducting bidders’ conferences, analyzing and evaluating supplier proposals, and making supplier recommendations.
• Direct experience serving as the primary subcontract manager or key interface for a major subcontractor.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams (engineering, facilities, finance, contracts, legal) to develop requirements and resolve subcontract issues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective execution of subcontracting activities aligned with program cost, schedule, technical, and quality objectives.
• Lead development of subcontract specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions for materials, equipment, software, and/or services.
• Prepare bid/RFP packages, conduct bidders’ conferences, evaluate proposals, negotiate provisions, and administer subcontracts through completion.
• Manage additions, deletions, and modifications to subcontracts.
• Collaborate with contracts administration, supply chain, engineering, program management, and other stakeholders to implement procedures.
