Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Principal Supply Chain Subcontract Specialist to support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the SDS division. The role is based in Roy, Utah, with 10% travel and no initial clearance requirement, but a Secret clearance may be needed for advancement.

You will lead cradle-to-grave subcontract administration, negotiate awards, coordinate with contracts, engineering and quality teams, and manage supplier performance to meet delivery schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of related experience; or 3 years with a master’s degree; or 9 years with a high school diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with FAR provisions and GSC policies and procedures.
• Experience cradle-to-grave subcontract administration.
• Experience preparing subcontractor RFP packages and supporting the NGC acquisition process.
• Experience preparing and presenting briefings to leadership (internal/external).

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and coordinate additions, deletions, or modifications to subcontracts.
• Develop subcontract policies and procedures with contracts administration and purchasing.
• Source and procure specialized goods and services.
• Own contractual management for the supplier.
• Manage source selection from contract proposal to execution phases.
• Coordinate with contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program and end-users.
• Develop subcontract specs, work statements, and terms and conditions for procurement of materials/services.
• Prepare bid packages, conduct bidders conferences, analyze proposals, negotiate provisions, select subcontractors, write awards, and administer subcontracts.
• Evaluate and monitor supplier quality and reliability with the quality organization.
• Identify strategies to reduce cost and manage risk through strategic negotiations.
• Manage performance of subcontracts and ensure compliance with laws and company policies.
