Job summary

Hampton Roads Connector Partners JV is hiring a Structures Superintendent to lead scheduling, coordination and supervision on a major 9-mile I-64 corridor project in Virginia. You will guide crews, liaise with engineers and subcontractors, and ensure work aligns with contract drawings and safety standards.

The role requires extensive heavy civil and construction management experience, strong communication, and a track record of delivering on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of heavy civil construction experience.
• 5+ years construction management experience.
• Bachelor's Degree a plus.
• Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
• Advanced knowledge of construction site equipment operation and maintenance requirements.
• Advanced knowledge of construction site safety protocols and proven ability to enforce project safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs and work schedule for assigned project work.
• Review project specifications and support job set up activities with field teams and utility companies.
• Coordinate with internal equipment teams and external vendors to ensure proper equipment and materials.
• Forecast schedules and provide recommendations to mitigate production issues.
• Identify and resolve project risks including methods, plans, safety and schedule.
• Promote strict adherence to safety and process controls; identify training needs on site.
• Supervise sub-contractor production and adjust schedules as needed.
