Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must pass company-administered welding tests.
• Proficient in MIG, Flux Core, or Stick welding; TIG experience a plus.
• Familiarity with welding carbon steel and stainless-steel materials.
• Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and teamwork.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret fabrication drawings in English.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine material requirements and welding procedures.
• Set up and operate welding equipment to join structural components.
• Position, align, and fit structural parts prior to welding with clamps and measuring tools.
• Inspect welds visually and dimensionally to ensure conformance with specs.
• Repair or rework defective welds as needed.
• Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe condition.
• Follow safety procedures for gases, hot materials, and heavy equipment.
• Collaborate with fitters, fabricators, and supervisors to meet deadlines.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and 5S standards.
