Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer for the Starship Launch Pad, based in Starbase, Texas.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and activate a second orbital launch pad and related infrastructure to enable orbital capability for Starship. You will develop drawings and reports, perform structural analyses for steel and concrete, and manage contracts with subcontractors while performing on-site inspections and field observations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, structural engineering, or related field.
5+ years of professional civil/structural design, analysis, construction and drafting experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the project team, consulting engineers and contractors through all phases of civil and structural work.
Develop drawings, design documentation, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects.
Perform civil and structural design and analysis for steel and concrete.
Manage construction contracts with subcontractors through close-out.
Provide on-site engineering inspections and field observations.
Resolve field design/constructability issues promptly.
