Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Structural Engineer for Launch Infrastructure (Starship) to join the team in Cape Canaveral, FL. You will design and issue drawings, perform structural calculations, and drive permits coordination for large-scale launch infrastructure projects.

The role requires a Bachelor's in structural/civil engineering and 1+ years of relevant experience; PE license is preferred and knowledge of major codes is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural or civil engineering.
• 1+ years of professional engineering experience focused on structural infrastructure design or construction.
• PE license preferred or achievable.
• Working knowledge of structural codes (AISC, ACI 318, ASCE 7, IBC).

Responsibilities

• Develop drawings, design documentation, and reports for structural projects.
• Perform calculations for steel and reinforced concrete design.
• Coordinate with agencies to obtain permits.
• Manage field construction aspects including QA/QC and contractor coordination.
• Interact with stakeholders to define requirements, schedule, and cost estimates.
