Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for the Starship Structural Test team. You will design and analyze large steel and concrete structures that apply flight-like loads to Starship test articles, and you’ll lead fabrication planning and on-site support.

The role blends individual contribution with technical leadership in a fast-paced, iterative environment. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in engineering, 5+ years of relevant experience, and ideally an advanced degree.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline required.
• 5+ years in engineering of composite steel and concrete structural systems for large-scale applications.
• Advanced degree preferred in aerospace, civil/structural, or mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and fabricate large composite steel and concrete structures.
• Develop test structures with engineers, considering boundary conditions and load paths.
• Plan fabrication and provide on-site fabrication support for structures.
