Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Structural Engineer for the Starship Launch Pad in Starbase, Texas. You will lead a multi-disciplinary team to design, build, and Commission a second orbital launch pad and supporting infrastructure for Starship.

You will perform civil/structural analyses, generate drawings, and manage contracts with subcontractors while coordinating across disciplines. A PE or SE license and extensive experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering.
• 5+ years of professional civil/structural design, analysis, construction, and drafting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project team, consulting engineers and contractors through civil/structural engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.
• Develop and issue drawings, design documents, and reports for aerospace, industrial, and commercial projects.
• Perform civil and structural design and analysis for steel and concrete.
• Write, negotiate, and manage construction contracts with subcontractors.
• Provide on-site engineering inspections and field observations.
• Resolve design and construction conflicts in the field.
