Job summary

ZCS is seeking a Lead Engineer in Oregon to drive structural design for a range of projects from private residences to campuses. You will manage delivery, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with owners, architects, and sub-consultants to ensure designs meet code and client goals.

Bring ABET-accredited civil engineering training, 5+ years of experience, and strong writing and communication skills. Travel statewide and leadership duties are expected.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree required.
• 5+ years post-grad structural engineering experience in consulting.
• Travel ability to support projects statewide.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction documents for timber, steel, concrete, and masonry.
• Perform structural calculations and prepare calculation packages.
• Manage project delivery and staff workloads to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Lead project development through schematic design to construction documents.
• Review documents for compliance with IBC, OSSC, AISC, ACI-318, NDS.
• Coordinate with partners and sub-consultants.
