Job summary

ZCS Engineering, Inc. in Oregon seeks a Lead Structural Engineer to manage projects from concept through construction documents. You will develop construction documents for timber, steel, concrete, and masonry, and ensure all work meets applicable codes and standards.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in structural consulting, proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit, and strong communication and writing skills. Travel within the state and a PE/SE is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Civil Engineering required.
• 5+ years post-graduate structural engineering in consulting for low-mid rise.
• PE/SE preferred but not required.
• Strong technical, writing, and project management skills.
• Willingness to travel within the state and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead structural engineering projects from concept to construction documents.
• Prepare calculations and packages for jurisdictional approval.
• Manage project delivery with staff scheduling and budgets.
• Review construction docs for code compliance (IBC, OSSC, ASCE 41, AISC, ACI 318, NDS).
• Mentor entry-level staff and perform PM duties as needed.
