Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry, LLC is seeking an experienced licensed structural engineer to join our growing team in Tualatin, Oregon. You will lead design and rehabilitation projects for commercial, educational, and industrial structures, perform site visits, and ensure code compliance.

This role emphasizes mentoring, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and partnering with our marketing group to win work. An Oregon PE and SE license are required, with 5+ years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering.
• MS or Meng degree with Structural emphasis preferred.
• Oregon registered PE license and Structural Engineer license required.
• Minimum of five years’ progressive structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.
• Self-motivated team player with ownership mindset.

Responsibilities

• Manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality work on time.
• Lead large- and small-scale structural design or rehabilitation projects for commercial and private structures.
• Oversee the preparation of structural investigation reports including site visits to document site conditions and review documents.
• Collaborate with our marketing team as a technical lead to win work.
• Mentor a high‑performing local team of engineers and technical staff.
