Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Buildings Structural Engineer to join our Portland, OR office. You will design structural systems for diverse projects and mentor junior staff, ensuring code compliance and high-quality deliverables.

The role requires a PE license, ABET-listed degree, and 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of professional structural engineering experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Knowledge of structural software: RISA, RAM, TEKLA, TEDDS, SAFE, PROFIS.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations with computer software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations.
• Create structural design plans and details in AutoCAD and Revit.
• Coach and mentor junior staff.
• Perform site visits and observe construction progress on existing buildings.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs.
• Perform QA/QC related tasks.
