Job summary

AKS Engineering & Forestry in Tualatin, OR is seeking an experienced licensed structural engineer to join our growing team. You will lead designs for commercial, educational, and infrastructure projects, oversee investigations, and mentor staff while coordinating with marketing to win new work.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree with a structural emphasis, an Oregon PE and SE license, and at least five years of progressive structural experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering required.
• MS or Meng Degree with Structural emphasis preferred.
• Oregon PE license and SE license required.
• Minimum of five years’ progressive structural engineering experience.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software.

Responsibilities

• Manage scopes, schedules, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality work on time.
• Lead large- and small-scale structural design or rehabilitation projects for commercial and private structures.
• Oversee preparation of structural investigation reports including site visits and document reviews.
• Collaborate with marketing team as a technical lead to win work.
• Mentor a high-performing local team of engineers and technical staff.
