Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks a Structural Engineer – Project Lead in Georgia for the Nuclear Power Group. Hybrid schedule; in-office 3 days/week at Peachtree Corners, GA. Lead a team, interface with clients, and manage diverse design projects for nuclear facilities.

You will apply structural engineering expertise to steel and concrete designs, supervise deliverables, and coordinate across disciplines. Travel to client sites as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 10+ years of experience on project teams in design/analysis of industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear facility structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
• Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• PE or SE license.

Responsibilities

• Apply knowledge of materials, structural analysis, steel design, and reinforced concrete design to assigned tasks.
• Work on projects for various clients and interface with them as required.
• Direct preparation/review of design calculations, specs, reports; support drawing development.
