Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a Project Lead Structural Engineer to join our Nuclear Power Group in Harrisburg, PA, supporting Crane Clean Energy Center/Three Mile Island. You will guide a team of structural engineers, interface with clients and other disciplines, and manage a variety of challenging projects.

This onsite role requires a BSCE, 10+ years of experience, and proficiency with STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, and ANSYS.

Qualifications

• BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Ten or more years of experience on project teams in design/analysis of industrial/heavy commercial or nuclear facility structures.
• Proficiency with structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
• Proficiency with design codes and standards such as ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of structural engineers and interface with clients and other disciplines.
• Direct preparation and review of design calculations, specifications, reports and drawings.
• Supervise and mentor staff to develop quality engineering deliverables.
• Perform structural analysis and design of steel frames, concrete members and foundations.
• Travel to client/vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for construction coordination.
