Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Structural Engineer for the Spent Fuel Handling Project (SFHP) in Scoville, ID. You will provide structural expertise, review contractor designs, and support construction through commissioning at the Idaho National Lab.

Required are 5+ years in structural design/analysis, an ABET-accredited degree, and an Idaho PE or eligibility within six months. On-site work and adherence to codes are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in the design and analysis of structural systems.
• ABET-accredited degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Idaho PE license or able to obtain within six months.
• Experience delivering projects from concept to construction completion.
• Familiarity with ASTM, ASME, and IBC codes.
• Ability to work onsite at Idaho National Lab daily.
• U.S. Citizenship required for facility credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provide structural engineering expertise for the SFHP project.
• Review and check design documents and contractor deliverables.
• Track progress and changes through project reporting.
• Perform on-site inspections and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety requirements, and project standards.
