Job summary

OLH Inc. is seeking a Structural Design Engineer for a 1-year contract to provide leadership in structural analysis and design across nuclear/industrial facilities. The role requires extensive experience with STAAD, national codes, and construction oversight.

The incumbent will coordinate with SRNS and manage schedules, budgets, and field walkthroughs. The position emphasizes leadership, complex problem solving, and adherence to safety and quality standards on site in Aiken, SC.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in applicable science or engineering and 5 years of experience.
• MS with 8 years of experience in design/analysis.
• BS with 10 years of experience or more in design/analysis.
• BS Degree in Civil Engineering or current PE license in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
• Working knowledge of STAAD and relevant national codes and standards such as IBC, AISC, ASD, LRFD, ACI, AWS, NFPA, OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Define scope of technical programs and develop quality solutions.
• Apply site systems to achieve quality, timely, and cost-effective results.
• Provide guidance to less senior professionals on related tasks.
• Resolve complex problems using advanced technical practices across multiple fields.
• Lead in determining solutions and be recognized as an expert in technical areas.
• Prepare plans including schedules, budgets, and personnel requirements.
