Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Structural Practice Lead - Hydraulic Structures to drive the national Dams and Hydraulic Structures practice. The role encompasses technical leadership, business development, and cross-office collaboration across multiple offices in the U.S.

You will guide complex dam projects and mentor engineers while growing client relationships. This position offers hybrid or remote work options at the company's discretion, with travel to project sites and client meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field with emphasis on structural engineering (required).
• Professional registration (PE or SE) (required).
• 10+ years of dam engineering experience (15+ preferred).
• Willingness to travel and perform fieldwork (required).
• Knowledge of USACE, USBR, NRCS, FERC regulations and ASDSO/USSD best practices (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead business development activities for Dams and Hydraulic Structures across the country.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for dam projects in structural engineering areas.
• Mentor technical staff and grow firm's dam engineering capabilities.
• Ensure projects meet technical, budget, schedule, quality, and profitability goals.
• Coordinate with clients and partners and manage proposals.
