Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a Hydraulics Practice Lead - Dams and Levees to build and lead our national hydraulic engineering capability. The role offers work from Louisville, Phoenix, Dallas, Houston, Pittsburgh, Indianapolis, Huntington, or other Geosyntec offices with potential hybrid or remote arrangements.

You will mentor staff, coordinate dam and levee projects, supervise modeling, risk analyses, and design evaluations while expanding our client base and technical reputation across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in water resources or environmental engineering (required).
• Professional registration (P.E.) (required).
• 10+ years of engineering consulting on dam and levee projects (preferred 15+).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to grow hydraulic engineering in the Dams & Levees line.
• Lead and coordinate cross-office teams for dam and levee projects nationwide.
• Oversee hydraulic modeling (1D/2D/3D) and evaluate spillways and dam structures.
• Support probabilistic risk assessments and flood hazard analyses.
• Lead business development and mentoring; client management.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals; travel as needed.
