Job summary

Hargrove Engineers & Constructors seeks a Lead Designer in Baton Rouge to supervise a civil/structural design team and oversee delivery of complete systems and components. You will draft detailed civil/structural drawings, review work, and coordinate with engineers to meet scope, safety and quality standards.

The role requires 20+ years of experience, mastery of CAD tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation), and ability to mentor junior staff while guiding projects to on-time completion and budget

Qualifications

Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required; 20+ years industrial civil/structural drafting and design experience.
Proven ability to lead teams, manage scope, schedule and budgets on complex projects.
Experience with AISC/ACI standards and producing construction documents.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor a team of designers delivering civil/structural deliverables on time and within budget.
Review drawings for accuracy, coordinate with engineers and other disciplines.
Develop construction scopes, estimates and schedules for projects.
