Job summary

Hargrove & Associates Inc. is seeking a Senior Electrical Designer in Baton Rouge to lead a team delivering electrical and instrumentation design. You will prepare installation details, MCC layouts, and control wiring while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget alignment.

The role requires extensive experience with NEC, cable tray, and conduit routing, plus ability to mentor junior staff and coordinate with other disciplines on complex projects.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• 12+ years of electrical and instrumentation drafting and design experience.
• Familiarity with NEC and building/industrial codes.
• Ability to perform complex calculations and produce installation documents.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design team to deliver electrical and instrumentation deliverables on time and within budget.
• Produce installation details, wiring diagrams, MCC layouts, and grounding plans.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior designers.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and clients to confirm scope and design criteria.
• Develop equipment and installation specifications for 480VAC and 15kV/5kV systems.
