Job summary

ZT Systems, a Sanmina Company, seeks a Principal Storage Architect to drive storage product strategy and architecture for deployments with major cloud providers. You will define roadmaps, assess current DAS/SAN/NAS offerings, and steer cross-functional teams including product managers and engineering to deliver optimized, cost-effective storage solutions.

The role requires a deep understanding of storage workloads, benchmarks, and industry trends, with global collaboration experience.

Qualifications

BS degree – preferably in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or software engineering – with 12+ years of experience.
Hands-on experience in running storage-based benchmarks (Orion, IOMeter, SPC).
Experience working in globally dispersed teams.
Ability to provide technology, reliability, and cost assessments on new storage product offerings.
Track record of being able to course correct in a highly volatile business environment based on new requirements or updated information.
Experience in architecting cloud-based storage solutions.
Strong network and relationships in the storage community (highly desired).

Responsibilities

Engage strategic storage vendors to develop compelling storage solutions for customers.
Coordinate vendor engagements with storage product managers to meet business goals.
Assess existing storage solutions and develop a roadmap for next-generation products.
Monitor storage industry trends across DAS, SAN, NAS, NAND-based, PCIe-connected, and Cold Store; train sales on strengths/weaknesses.
Collaborate with QREs to monitor field storage solution quality and inform new offerings.
