Job summary

AHEAD is seeking a Technical Consultant to lead deployment and optimization of enterprise storage across datacenter and cloud environments. You will be customer-facing, delivering scalable storage solutions, and advising clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on in enterprise storage infrastructure delivery roles.
• Strong experience with major storage platforms (PowerMax/VMAX, PowerScale/Isilon, Unity, PowerStore, Pure, NetApp, Nasuni, Cloudian).
• Experience with SAN implementation and interoperability analysis.
• Experience integrating/storage solutions across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of automation/orchestration tools (Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins).
• Ability to troubleshoot complex storage and connectivity issues across arrays, hosts, switches, and supporting infrastructure.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; able to explain risks to technical and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in client-facing delivery environments.
• Experience with both block and unstructured storage deployments.
• Familiarity with AI productivity tools and automation to improve delivery speed.

Responsibilities

• Implement storage solutions for performance, availability, recoverability, scalability, and simplicity across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Deploy data center and cloud storage technologies (PowerMax, PowerScale, PowerStore, NetApp ONTAP, StorageGRID, Pure FlashArray/Blade, Nasuni, Cloudian).
• Design and deploy SAN infrastructure; perform interoperability analysis across servers, switches, and storage.
• Support replication and storage continuity technologies (SRDF, SyncIQ, Pure, SnapMirror, Zerto).
• Create technical documentation including designs, implementation plans, and operational procedures.
• Act as technical point of contact during delivery engagements, status meetings, cutovers, and escalations.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, account teams, and customer stakeholders to align scope and timelines.
• Provide post-implementation knowledge transfer and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to delivery quality and customer satisfaction; mentor junior team members.
• Stay aware of storage/cloud/infrastructure trends and suggest practical improvements.
