Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Principal Cloud Storage Engineer to lead the design and evolution of our private cloud storage platforms across enterprise environments. The role focuses on large-scale storage architecture, data protection, cyber recovery, and resiliency technologies with strong leadership and architectural vision.

The successful candidate will guide storage modernization efforts, manage SAN/NAS/Object storage, and collaborate with security teams to enforce controls while steering

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering with cloud storage and cyber recovery.
• Expert-level knowledge of SAN, NAS, Object Storage and Software Defined Storage architectures.
• Experience leading data center consolidation, large-scale data migrations, and cloud storage modernization efforts.
• Demonstrated expertise in backup, recovery, and cyber resiliency strategies for mission-critical workloads.

Responsibilities

• Architect and engineer enterprise storage platforms for data integrity, availability, security, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Design and implement end-to-end storage solutions across private cloud and data centers (SAN, NAS, object storage).
• Drive strategic technology decisions by evaluating emerging products, tools, and standards for storage, data protection, cloud, and compute platforms.
• Lead storage modernization, data protection, cyber recovery, data migration, and resilience engineering initiatives.
• Develop and execute enterprise strategies for backup, recovery, cyber vaulting, and business continuity.
• Create and maintain documentation of storage architectures, configurations, policies, and procedures.
