Minimum 3–5 years of claims or insurance experience and strong MS Excel skills are required. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred, with opportunities for career development and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years claims or insurance experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel (macros, pivots and formulas).
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong analytical skills.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry claim systems and practices.

Responsibilities

• Review complex claims and/or situations and make informed decisions that may require judgment by providing directions on excess risk claims.
• Respond to internal and external claim or reporting inquiries from managers, brokers, general agents, and administrators.
• Provide direction, development, and mentoring to less experienced claims staff, including audits and feedback.
• Manage claim suspense accounts to ensure accurate processing and financial reporting.
• Oversee mid-policy period and year end audits.
• Assist in developing and implementing process improvements.
• Participate in department or company projects and initiatives.
• Support Stop Loss Claims Systems Testing.
• Handle other duties as assigned.
