Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation seeks a Lead Steward to oversee kitchen stewarding operations on a shift basis, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and efficient flow of work. You will train staff, manage inventories, and collaborate with restaurants, chefs, and managers to maintain high standards of service.

The role requires flexibility in schedule, the ability to work under supervision, and strong leadership to guide the stewarding team toward excellent guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift approx. 30lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Directs stewarding functions in assigned kitchen areas to promote cleanliness and sanitation.
• Trains stewards on safety and sanitation issues and ensures compliance with health regulations.
• Maintains par stocks of materials and equipment for areas of responsibility.
• Promotes teamwork and coordinates with other departments to ensure service quality.
• Provides guidance to stewarding team and communicates needs to supervisors.
