Job summary

Banner Health in Sun City West, AZ is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Technician to support the OR team and ensure sterile instrumentation is ready for operative procedures.

You will monitor decontamination, sterilization, inventory, and coordination of service-line priorities with OR staff, reporting to leadership as needed. Certification CSPDT or CRCST and about two years' sterile processing experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge.
• Requires national certification as a SPD Technician (CSPDT) or CRCST.
• Two years sterile processing experience with instrumentation knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties as a departmental technician across service lines.
• Prioritize instrumentation requests and coordinate with OR staff.
• Oversee service line activities and ensure safe instrument readiness.
• Train and precept new employees; mentor team on instrumentation.
• Review OR schedules and manage inventory of trays/instruments.
• Assist with procurement of medical supplies and equipment.
