Job summary

Banner Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician in Sun City West, AZ. The role supports PeriOp Services by ensuring sterile instrumentation and disposable supplies are prepared for procedures, with emphasis on decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and proper handling of instrumentation.

The ideal candidate is CRCST certified or will be within one year of hire and has at least 1 year of SPD experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred within one year of hire.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide decontamination and sterile processing support for OR and hospital departments.
• Responsible for instrument decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization, and documentation.
• Identify surgical instrumentation by schedule and terminology to minimize delays in surgery.
