Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Certification as SPD Technician CSPDT or CRCST is required.
• Two years of sterile processing experience with instrumentation knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude to disassemble/reassemble, troubleshoot trays.
• Strong organization, communication and teamwork across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure sterile instruments and disposables are ready for procedures.
• Prioritize instrumentation and equipment requests based on service line needs.
• Precept and train new staff; supervise service line activities.
• Review OR schedules and ensure instruments meet daily demand.
• Inventory trays/instruments and coordinate replacements as needed.
• Assist OR and other areas in procuring supplies and addressing issues.
• Collaborate with staff to resolve problems and maintain patient safety.
• Communicate with leadership on service issues and scheduling.
