Banner Health in Sun City West, AZ is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Technician to support OR readiness and instrument readiness for procedures. This role requires certification as a SPD Technician and at least two years of sterile processing experience, with leadership duties and independent work on the night shift.

The incumbent will supervise staff, coordinate instrument needs with OR teams, maintain inventory, and assist with procurement of supplies, ensuring safe, efficient perioperative

Qualifications

SPD Technician certification (CSPDT) or CRCST is required.
High school diploma or GED is required.
Minimum two years of sterile processing experience.
Mechanical aptitude to break down, clean, lubricate and reassemble instruments.
Strong organizational and communication skills for coordinating multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Ensure sterile surgical instrumentation and disposables are ready for procedures.
Prioritize instrumentation requests and coordinate OR scheduling needs.
Precept and train new staff; competency signoff for team members.
Oversee service line, address issues, and communicate with leadership.
Review OR schedules, forecast instrument needs, and manage inventory.
Assist with procurement of medical supplies and instruments as needed.
