Job summary

Endeavor Health in Glenview, IL, is seeking a Lead Sterile Processing Tech for a full-time role. The position requires two years of sterile processing experience, CBSPD or CRCST certification on hire, and a high school diploma or GED. Primary duties include running the department in the supervisor's absence and ensuring timely, accurate sterilization and distribution of materials for OR use.

Hours are 9:00am-5:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays. Outlook proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CBSPD or CRCST certification upon hire.
• Two years’ healthcare sterile processing experience required.
• Lead or staff education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in running the department when supervisor is unavailable.
• Inform management items and supplies needed to order, and assist in locating instrumentation and adjust workflow to meet OR demand.
• Oversee departmental needs daily.
• Provide hospital and affiliated facilities with sterile processed materials and equipment.
• Execute procedures for decontamination, assembly, sterilization and case cart setup with quality product for patient care.
• Follow procedures to ensure decontamination completion.
• Place sterile items in appropriate areas for distribution with correct labeling.
