Memorial Hermann is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to provide sterilized surgical instruments and equipment to the operating room and hospital areas. The role may function as lead/charge on shift, with responsibility for supervising others and ensuring adherence to sterile processing standards.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years of instrument sterilization experience. CBSPD/IAHCSMM certification is required, CIS/CSIS preferred.

Formación

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two (2) years of experience in sterilization of instruments and equipment.
• Certification: CBSPD or IAHCSMM required; CIS or CSIS preferred.
• Ability to follow English oral and written instructions; basic math skills.

Responsabilidades

• May act as lead technician/charge person on shift.
• Assemble, sterilize, and prepare instruments and supplies per protocol.
• Maintain records and monitor quality control and infection control standards.
• Identify equipment in need of repair and ensure maintenance.
• Communicate delays or problems in OR and other areas.
