Job summary

Black Rocket Productions LLC is seeking an Entry Level After School Technology Teacher to guide students aged 8-14 through project-based learning in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, and game design.

This is a part-time, after-school position with sessions in Vallejo, CA, roughly 2:00–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. No formal teaching experience required, but you should enjoy technology and working with kids. Paid training provided; salary is $20–$26 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completed 48 college units/minimum OR NCLB exam or compliant equivalent.
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred.
• Must be able to transport equipment and commute throughout Vallejo City Unified School District.
• Available after school hours 2:00–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Must be at least 21 with experience working with children ages 8–14.

Responsibilities

• Teach after-school program using project-based curriculum.

After School Technology Teacher

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after school programs. Leadinstructors guide students through our world class, project basedlearning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding,Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design and more!

Full school year in 10 week sessions, with options to continueinto additional seasons

Get in-room teaching experience with excited students

No formal experience required, but teaching experience in somecapacity highly preferred

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completed 48 college units minimally OR have taken and passed theNCLB Exam or compliant equivalent
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred
• Reliable transportation throughout Vallejo City Unified SchoolDistrict with ability to transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment
• Must be available after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00PM), daily Monday - Friday
• Consistent attendance is REQUIRED, substitutes are not available
• Instructors must be at least 21 years of age and have significantexperience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, both iseven better!
• Experience with children in an educational setting is preferredbut not required
• Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 forelementary schoolers
• Strong technology skills preferred, such as a background in 3Dmodeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design,animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitivegaming, etc. or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox,including modding or streaming

This is an after-school, part-time, hourly position

$20/hr - $26/hr
