Job summary

Black Rocket seeks enthusiastic after-school technology teachers to guide students through coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing and game design using our project-based curriculum.

Lead Instructors run 8-10 week sessions, bring hands-on learning to classrooms, and build confidence in kids aged 8–14. Paid training is provided; reliable transportation to East Ramapo Central School District is required; availability during school hours (10:30am–2:30pm) is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 48 college units completed.
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred.
• Must be available during school hours (10:30am–2:30pm), Monday–Friday.
• At least 21 years old with experience with children aged 8–14.

Responsibilities

• Lead instruction in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing and game design.
• Guide students through project-based learning.
• Provide in-room teaching during after-school sessions (8–10 weeks).
• Assist with transporting equipment as needed.
• Participate in paid training for teaching techniques.

NOW HIRING! AFTER SCHOOL TECHNOLOGY TEACHER

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals towork as Lead Instructors in our school programs. Lead instructorsguide students through our world class, project based learningcurriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft,ROBLOX, video editing, game design and more!

Full school year in 8-10 week sessions, with options to continueinto additional seasons

Get in-room teaching experience with excited students

No formal experience required, but teaching experience in somecapacity highly preferred

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completed 48 college units minimally
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred
• Reliable transportation to East Ramapo Central School Districtwith ability to transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment
• Must be available during school hours (approximately10:30am - 2:30 PM), daily Monday - Friday
• Consistent attendance is REQUIRED, substitutes are not available
• Instructors must be at least 21 years of age and have significantexperience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, both iseven better!
• Experience with children in an educational setting is preferredbut not required
• Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 forelementary schoolers
• Strong technology skills preferred, such as a background in 3Dmodeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design,animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitivegaming, etc. or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox,including modding or streaming
